Q.What is Stripe?
Stripe is a secure international payment platform that processes all donations on Pushing Stars. Your payment data is handled by Stripe under their own security and privacy policies.
Q.Do I need a Stripe account to create a campaign?
Yes. To receive donations, you must connect a Stripe account in your own name. Only users who can open and connect a Stripe account are eligible to create a campaign.
Q.Does Pushing Stars hold my money?
No. All funds are transferred directly to the campaign owner via Stripe. Pushing Stars does not collect, store, hold, or manage funds.
Q.Which payment methods are supported?
Payment methods depend on Stripe and may include credit cards, debit cards, and other local options available in your region.
Platform Fees
Q.How much does Pushing Stars charge?
Pushing Stars charges a 3% platform fee per donation, excluding Stripe processing fees. The platform fee is clearly displayed before you publish your campaign.
Q.When is the platform fee charged?
The fee is deducted automatically from each donation and is shown clearly before publishing the campaign. By publishing, you agree to the displayed fees.
Q.Can the platform fee change in the future?
Yes. We reserve the right to update platform fees. Any change will be clearly displayed before campaign publication and will apply only to future campaigns.
Taxes
Q.Do I need to pay taxes on the money I raise?
Yes. Campaign owners are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes according to their local laws. Pushing Stars does not provide tax advice.
Q.Does Pushing Stars provide tax advice?
No. Pushing Stars does not provide tax or legal advice. We recommend consulting a qualified professional for your situation.
Refunds
Q.Can donors get a refund?
Refund policies are determined by the campaign owner. Donors should contact the campaign creator for refund requests.
Q.Does Pushing Stars issue refunds?
No. Refunds are handled directly by the campaign creator through Stripe. We do not process or hold funds.
Q.What happens if a campaign does not reach its goal?
Campaigns are not goal-dependent unless stated otherwise by the creator. Funds are transferred as donations are made; there is no "all or nothing" requirement by default.
